Sustainable Growth Boise has jumped in to be one of the key players in pulling off the 2008 Idaho Green Expo. SGB owner, Lindsay Schramm, has volunteered on the Board of Directors, Steering Committee, as well as heading up the Home and Garden Track.
This event will feature green businesses, services, and organizations serving Idaho, as well as involving the community in a series of green related events. Boise mayor, Dave Bieter, has already said he would declare the week prior to the expo as “Green Week” for Boise. During Green Week, the expo is organizing green building tours, organic farm tours, an eco-film festival, and much, much more.
This event promises to bring Boise up to the same level as other Green Cities across the nation for eco-conciousness, and help to facilitate the everyday consumer into making wiser, more earth-friendly choices.
